Accessibility

At Poetry Wales, we believe that poetry should be for everybody

We try our best to make sure that our magazine is accessible to as many readers as possible. If you have any questions or suggestions for how we can improve our accessibility, please email info@poetrywales.co.uk

For visually impaired readers and those who require a screen reader or text-to-speech accessibility:

Our digital partners ExactEditions allow our digital subscriptions to be compatible with both screen reading software and read aloud technology. Find out more on their FAQ page here

Individual digital issues sold via the website are in PDF format, which should also be compatible with your software

For readers who are currently low-waged and/or in higher education:

We offer a number of lower-priced subscriptions for students and low-waged readers, which we define as those with an annual income of £16,000 or less. Please note that we never ask for proof of income for any of our subscriptions or competitions

Our low-income and student subscriptions include instalment options beginning at £2 a month (plus £5 sign-up fee)

For readers for whom a paid subscription is not currently an option:

  • Check our list of libraries who stock Poetry Wales to see if there is a library close to you that has copies of the magazine. If your local library is not subscribed, you can submit a recommendation/request that they do so – your local branch should be able to assist you in this
  • While you wait for your library to respond (if applicable), you can email info@poetrywales.co.uk to request one-month access to our digital archive using the subject line ACCESS DIGITAL ARCHIVE. We won’t ask questions or ask you to prove your income status.
