Our submissions portal will open on Monday 27 July until Monday 10 August for essays, interviews and poetry to feature in our November issue.
As always, we we welcome work on any and all themes, but we do have a slant that we are especially interested in hearing about; for this issue we particularly want to see work inspired by the body, in all of its complexity.
The body is where we first encounter the world. It carries memory, desire, pleasure, illness, grief, work, ancestry, language, gender, disability, change and time. We welcome work that begins with lived experience, and we’ll look out for work that questions assumptions about bodies and invites us to discover new ways of thinking through the body.
As always, we seek poetry that surprises us: work attentive to language, alive to the world, and unafraid to ask what it means to inhabit a body.

Articles, Essays and Interviews
Alongside poetry, we’re also looking for a small number of features, essays and conversations that engage with ’embodiment’ from literary, cultural and ecological perspectives or through the viewpoints of queer writers, disabled writers or writers of the global majority.
Send us a short pitch of no longer than 300 words via Submittable to be considered for an article, essay or interview.
