Support Us

Poetry Wales magazine is part of Poetry Wales Press Ltd, a not-for-profit company which exists through the financial support of the Books Council of Wales. Rising costs and cuts across the Arts in Wales means that our subsidy is worth less each year, and there are fewer grant opportunities for us to apply for.

As always, we are deeply grateful for the support of all of our readers, whether one-off buyers or regular subscribers. We’re especially grateful to our Supporter subscribers, whose generosity helps us to continue creating the magazine you know and love.

On this page, you can find information about other ways of supporting our work, from one-off donations to educational partnerships. Email us at info@poetrywales.co.uk if you’d like to find out more.

Donations

You can make a one-off donation to Poetry Wales below. Donations can be made anonymously, or you can leave your name and be thanked for your support in a future issue.

Supporter Subscriptions

Our Gold and Welsh Gold subscriptions are the most popular choice for those wanting to give Poetry Wales extra financial support.

Starting from just £7/month, our Supporter subscriptions come with the following benefits:

  • A credit in every issue of Poetry Wales while you remain an active subscriber
  • Everything that you get with a standard subscription, including access to our online subscriber’s area and discounts on competitions and Seren Books products
  • Both print and digital subscriptions, which includes an online archive of over 10 years of back issues
  • A bonus gift – choose from Seren Books poetry collections or vintage Poetry Wales issues

These subscriptions also support the running costs of the magazine and allow us to offer concession subscriptions to students and those with low-income – ensuring that poetry remains accessible to everyone.

You can sign up for a Supporter subscription here, or upgrade your existing subscription in the ‘My account‘ area.

Legacy Gifts

If you would like to leave a gift in your will for Poetry Wales magazine or to Poetry Wales Press as a whole, get in touch with us and we can advise you on wording.

Sponsorship and Advertising

If you own or work for a company that you think would be interested in supporting our work, get in touch, and we can have a conversation about what that might look like.

If you’re interested in placing an advert either in our magazine or in our popular weekly newsletter, you can find out more here.

Education Partnerships

We offer a number of tiers for partnerships with further and higher education institutions, which include opportunities for students like work experience and features. Please note that we are currently only able to offer internship opportunities for those aged 18 and over. Drop us an email to find out more.

Other Ways to Support Poetry Wales

The easiest way to support us is by becoming a subscriber (starting from just £3.25/month for a standard UK print subscription). However, we appreciate that offering extra financial support may not be possible for everyone in the current climate. You can also recommend us to your local library or favourite independent bookshop who we’ll happily chat to about stocking Poetry Wales physically or digitally.
